5. Spread the gingerbread cookies on baking paper (keep in mind that they increase in size during baking), place in a preheated oven to 180 degrees and bake for 10 minutes.

Make sure that they are not burnt. Ready gingerbread cookies are very soft at first, so do not rush to remove them from the paper - they are easy to damage. Having cooled, they will harden, and then you can easily transfer them to a plate. And then you can decorate them with the whole family!

Gingerbread icing

The easiest and fastest way to make icing is to mix powdered sugar with lemon juice or milk. Lemon juice gives a pleasant sourness, slightly pacifying the sweetness, and with milk the glaze is very tender. The proportion is about 2 tablespoons of liquid per 100 g of powder. Carefully mix the liquid so that the glaze does not turn out to be excessively liquid. Glaze of the correct consistency is dense and viscous. Place the finished glaze in a plastic bag, cut a corner of it and draw patterns on the surface of the gingerbread icing.

It's great to make gingerbread houses from ginger dough. The disassembled house is sold in stores or at fairs - you only need to assemble it.
